New petition filed in old murder case

Invitation to press conference at California Western School of law, Oct. 23, 2002

In 1983 my Son Phillip died. At the time of his death he was extremely ill. I was taking him in for this illness that the doctors failed to diagnose. Eventually untreated it killed him, and an innocent person was convicted of his death. After 19 + years we are finally, filing a successive writ at the Court of Appeal on Oct. 23, 2002 A press conference will be held at the

CALIFORNIA WESTERN SCHOOL OF LAW

CALIFORNIA INNOCENCE PROJECT

OCT. 23, 2002 10:15 am

225 CEDAR ST.

SAN DIEGO, CA

We have all the evidence now that we need to prove this man is innocent. The doctors had this proof in 1983. The lies and corruption sent this man away, for what could have been, his entire life. They could have saved my baby if they would have just listened to me when he was alive, and they could have avoided an innocent person from suffering, all of us from suffering. Attorneys the California Innocence Project, and many Medical Experts have put in thousands of hours pro-bono to help me. We are finally blessed with an answer.

The lies will be exposed at the press conference. What we found is incredible and the people need to know about it, I cant say anything until the writ is filed but I want as many Innocent victims, people, reporters and media to attend as well as the people that have supported us to be at this conference.

I hope to hear from you, or that you will have someone in attendance at the press conference to deliver the story to the public. Many look to you guys for information. Other wrongly accused will be in attendance at the Press Conference, The system has to change. I will be handing out some pretty incredible information that I am sure will open the eyes to the community.

Ken Marsh and my family are the victims. The same people that are supposed to be in trusted positions are the ones that wronged us. The San Diego Homicide dept. turned this case over to the DA as an accident. Then the doctors I trusted, the very ones that never gave me answers I was begging them for, prosecuted Ken Marsh, and all without bringing Phillips illness to trial. They never evaluated my son or his medical records for an underlying disease. Now I am praying that the same officials that put up the doors to me when I came knocking for answers will finally fairly and unbiasly look at the whole story. My family and Ken's family have suffered enough. It is time for us to put this horrible nightmare to rest. And to finally, let my baby Phillip rest in peace.

Thanks for your time,

Brenda Buell Warter
